What Is StreetDeck?

Archatrak ‘StreetDeck’ is a complete, ready-to-assemble, modular system for building Parklets and contained street seating for outdoor dining – typically situated on the roadside of urban shopping strips replacing one or two parking spots.

StreetDeck was conceived as the means to overcome the shortcomings of most custom designed Parklets or modular decks; to be more affordable, require no on-site cutting or fabrication, easily assembled on site, modular, extendable and customizable.

What Makes StreetDeck Parklets Unique?

StreetDeck was specifically designed as complete kit of parts for a community Parklet or enclosed street seating area which could be easily delivered, quickly assembled and later disassembled and stored as required, in any location – pavements, roadway parking spaces, outside retail establishments, trade events, etc., without needing any on site fabrication, extra components or skilled labor. Each kit includes all components needed for assembling fully self-contained platforms or street seating areas, avoiding expensive design, fabrication and installation costs.

What’s Included in Every StreetDeck Parklet Kit?

The complete prefabricated deck kit includes pre-cut, bolt-together, powder-coated, galvanized steel perimeter sections, steel planters, railings, porcelain pavers or Ipe wood tiles for the deck surface, adjustable height plastic pedestals to support the perimeter and pavers, access ramps and all necessary brackets and hardware to assemble the structure.
Nothing needs to cut, fabricated, shaped or painted on site. Just a few holes need to be drilled in the sides of the planters so you can install the railings to the preferred height.

What Sizes Are Available?

For curbside seating that replaces car parking spaces on urban streets, we have ready-to-go kits to suit 1 car space (12′ x 6′) and 2 car spaces (32′ x 6′). But due to the modular design, StreetDeck can be extended to whatever length or width you like, in increments of 24″, subject to site conditions. The longest parklet we have supplied so far was nearly 80′ long! Simply call us to discuss your specific requirements.

Where Else Can StreetDeck be Used?

You can use StreetDeck modular decks anywhere a perfectly level, stable, and self-contained elevated platform is required, either temporarily or permanently – display stages, event seating platforms, special event flooring, pop-up cafes, music stages etc.

For restaurants with restricted dining space indoors, StreetDeck can be used to create a dedicated space for additional outdoor sidewalk or street seating, stylish and distinctive, fully enclosed and perfectly level.

Can StreetDeck Parklets Be Customized?

Steel components can be painted in any color you like, logos can be laser cut in the planter walls, over 70 color options are available for the paved deck surface or if you prefer a wood surface, you can select Ipe wood deck tiles. Alternatively, we can supply just the self-contained deck structure with pavers, pedestals, and steel perimeter. You can then add other 3^rd party components such as planters, bench seating, railings, etc. and add your own furnishings. And of course you can add whatever planting you like in the large steel planters which have adjustable height shelves to suit shallow or deep rooted plants.
