Up to 37” Working Height with Add-In Extenders

For projects demanding greater heights, the PR3 model serves as the foundation for elevations beyond 16 ½” via add-in extension elements. A single extension increases working height to 24″, two extensions reach 30″, and three extensions extend to 37″, accommodating practically all elevated roof deck requirements.

Inbuilt Self Leveling Heads

Premier adjustable deck pedestals incorporate self-leveling heads as standard, eliminating the extra labor and cost of tools to measure slopes and add slope correction components either at the base or on the head of each pedestal.

Premier self-leveling pedestals automatically adjust for slope up to 5°, ensuring a perfectly level support for pavers even where the substrate may slope in multiple directions.

Easy Switching between Self-Leveling and Fixed Heads

Need a fixed head rather than self-leveling? A simple add-in headlock component provides a quick and easy option to switch from a self-leveling pedestal to a fixed head pedestal for situations requiring extra rigidity.

Acoustic Dampening Rubber Faced Heads

Inbuilt rubber-faced pedestal heads on Premier adjustable deck pedestals provide acoustic dampening and enhanced slip resistance without the need for any add-in shims.

Inbuilt Paver Spacer Tabs

Integrated spacer tabs on the single component heads eliminate the need for extra components and are designed to be easily snapped off without the need for a knife when not required.

Extra wide Pedestal Heads for Superior Paver Support

5 7/8″ diameter heads with their slip resistant rubber surface provide excellent support and stability for all types of pavers – porcelain, concrete, wood.

Pre-cut Base for More Rapid Installation

With one side of the wide 8” diameter base pre-cut, installation of the pedestals alongside perimeter can proceed more rapidly. For installation of pedestals at internal corners, score marks on the underside of the base provide an easy indication where to correctly make an additional cut.

Top down height adjustment

Minor height adjustments to a completed deck can be easily made at any time after installation by inserting a special tool into a slot in the pedestal head, eliminating the need to lift pavers.

Safety Block on Screwed Columns

A safety lock prevents columns from being screwed beyond their designed working height.

Premier Pedestal Support System – Applications

Directly Supported Pavers

Premier adjustable deck pedestals are primarily used for rooftop deck support of porcelain, concrete or wood pavers, typically supported only at each corner of the paver where a paver side does not exceed 24”. Additional perimeter pedestals and pedestals under the body of the pavers will be normally required for planks or pavers exceeding 24” in width.

Rail Supported Plank Pavers

For porcelain planks less than 16” wide, the planks are normally laid over an array of aluminum rails supported by a pedestal support system fitted with modified heads to hold the rails in position over the pedestals. Rubber strips are run along the rails to minimize sound transmission and spacer tabs are slid along the rails to provide accurate paver spacing. This pedestal paving system makes more efficient use of pedestals and simplifies the leveling of the planks.

Joist Support for Wood Plank Decking

Conventional wood planks can also be laid using the Prime pedestal support system. In this application, special heads are supplied with the Premier pedestals which permit wood joists to be secured to the heads. Wood planks can then be laid over the joists using standard deck fixings.

Adjustable Patio Pedestals

When resurfacing concrete patios requiring height adjustable support pads to create a perfectly level deck, at the lowest elevation up to about 1”, stackable rubber support pads and shims can be used. At greater deck heights, Premier adjustable patio pedestals become a more cost-effective solution.

Continuously adjustable from 1 1/4″ to 16 1/2″ with just three models.

PR3 range   6″ – 16 1/2″

Extension elements 7 1/2” tall can be added to the PR3 pedestals to achieve higher elevations.

One extension – 12 3/8″ – 23 3/8″
Two extensions – 16 3/8″ – 30 1/4″
Three extensions – 20 1/2″ – 37 1/4″

At high elevations, all column supports for high level decks should be stabilized with guy wires.
